The Three Internships
Digital Media (260739)
In the Public Affairs Office of the Strategic Communications Division, supporting the planning, production and distribution of digital content across multiple platforms:
๐ฑ Draft social media content, narratives, media messages and statements for internal and external audiences
๐ Assess social media trends in public media
๐ผ๏ธ Develop content including fact sheets and infographics
๐ค Support community relations events, press conferences and media activities
๐ค Liaise with other HQs on Public Affairs matters and maintain routine engagements with Allied and Partner nation Public Affairs Offices
๐ Education: broadcast journalism, public affairs, media and communication studies, digital media or digital marketing. Familiarity with major social media platforms, digital publishing workflows and social media analytics/reporting tools is required
Information & Knowledge Management (260740)
In the Information Knowledge Management (IKM) Section of the Management Directorate, contributing to the digital transformation of business processes:
๐ Analyse and digitalise administrative and operational processes, mapping "as-is" workflows and identifying optimisation opportunities
๐ ๏ธ Design and implement digital workflows using NATO-approved tools (e.g. LINQI and other low-code platforms)
โ Support digital solution adoption and process refinement (gathering user requirements, validating solutions, providing basic user guidance and collecting feedback)
๐ Provide general support to the IKM team, including knowledge management practices, SharePoint collaboration and day-to-day activities
๐ Education: Information Management, Information Systems, Business Analysis or a related discipline. Microsoft 365 (Excel, SharePoint, Teams) needed; process mapping (BPMN, Visio, Lucidchart) desired; low-code/no-code (Power Automate, LINQI) and Power BI an asset
NATO Space Operations Centre (260738)
In the NATO Space Operations Centre (NSpOC), Space Theatre Component, enhancing efficiency through experimentation and improving the in-house space software suite:
๐ Program space tools in Python
๐ฅ๏ธ Develop and improve user interfaces for users who are not space-savvy
โ๏ธ Increase the efficiency of existing procedures by introducing new software tools and automation
๐ก Explore and identify ideas for new tools
๐ Education: Space Systems, Space Systems Operations, Engineering, Software Science or related. Python programming experience and a drive for space required; experience with the AGI System Tool Kit (STK) desirable

๐ฌ๐ง Advanced English language skills
๐ Current students who have completed at least two years of their bachelor's or master's degree, or recent graduates (degree obtained within the last 18 months) in the relevant fields
What's Offered
๐ถ A monthly lump sum of โฌ1,452 (2026 pay scale); the intern declares this income to the relevant tax authorities as appropriate

โน๏ธ Travel, accommodation and living expenses are the intern's responsibility, and interns must have their own social insurance (including healthcare) on joining
๐ Participation is subject to NATO security clearance from the intern's national authorities, which can take six months or longer
