The European Investment Fund (EIF) is recruiting a Trainee for the Central and Eastern Europe Unit of the Nordics, Baltics, CEE and Western Balkans Division, within the Mandate Origination & Relationship Management Department, at its headquarters in Luxembourg.


Specific Post Environment

The Nordics, Baltics, CEE and Western Balkans Division sits within the Mandate Origination & Relationship Management Department, under the Investment Office. Its main objective is to lead fundraising efforts, originating debt and equity mandates and coordinating their implementation in the region.




Overall Objective

๐ŸŽฏ Actively participate in developing an implementation analysis to support effective monitoring of mandates under the division's remit and the performance of financial intermediaries


Responsibilities

Under the guidance of the team's senior member, you will:

๐Ÿ” Review and analyse documentation and data on ongoing debt and equity mandates, extracting key insights, performing critical comparisons and synthesising findings into concise summaries for internal and external stakeholders

โœ… Ensure data accuracy in EIF's internal IT systems to allow reliable reporting and informed decision-making across ongoing mandates

๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Support the preparation of tools and dashboards to streamline data analysis and reporting processes

๐Ÿ“ˆ Delivery of accurate, up-to-date monitoring reports supporting mandate oversight and decision-making

๐Ÿ—„๏ธ Establishment of a monitoring tool to support the reporting process


Qualifications

๐ŸŽ“ University degree (or ongoing studies) in Business Administration, Finance, Business Intelligence, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics or a similar discipline; candidates may be enrolled in the final year of a master's degree

๐Ÿ“š Relevant coursework in auditing, compliance and data analysis is an advantage

๐Ÿ”ข Strong analytical and numerical skills

๐Ÿ’ป Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and good knowledge of other Microsoft tools (Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint)

๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง Excellent written and spoken English; a good command of another EU language is an advantage

๐Ÿฆ Understanding of the mission and main products of the EIF

๐Ÿ“Š An aptitude for data management and reporting tools is an advantage

๐Ÿ’ผ Understanding of private equity, venture capital, infrastructure equity and/or SME debt financing is a distinguishable advantage
