Eurojust, the European Union Agency for Criminal Justice Cooperation, is offering a traineeship in its Human Resources (HR) Unit at its headquarters in The Hague. The HR Unit delivers high-quality services across strategic HR, recruitment, employment conditions, Host State relations, career development and training, and the trainee will support all HR sectors in their work.

Traineeship Specification

๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿ’ผ Contribute to Eurojust's internal and external selection procedures by drafting vacancy notices and supporting selection boards and candidates during the selection, interview and assessment stages

๐Ÿ—‚๏ธ Support the unit in the digitalisation of personal files

๐Ÿ“ฃ Contribute to the unit's internal communication activities

๐ŸŒฑ Support the unit in staff development activities

๐Ÿ“… Contribute to the annual planning of HR activities

๐ŸŽฏ Contribute to the implementation of the HR strategy



Eligibility

๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡บ Be a national of an EU Member State or an EU candidate country (exceptionally, nationals of third countries with a cooperation agreement or working arrangement with Eurojust may be accepted, depending on budget)

๐ŸŽ“ Be a recent university, master's or doctorate graduate, with the diploma obtained by the closing date

๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง Have very good English (minimum B2), Eurojust's working language

โ›” Not have received more than six weeks of any in-service training/internship, nor have worked or been employed in any capacity within an EU institution, body, office or agency



General Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience

๐ŸŽ“ A completed university degree in social science (e.g. psychology, human resources management or business administration) or other relevant fields

โœ… Ability to take responsibility for specific areas of work and see actions through to completion, meeting deadlines

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Good communication and interpersonal skills

๐Ÿ’ป Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

๐ŸŒ Aptitude for teamwork in an international, multicultural environment, with a cooperative, customer-oriented attitude

๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง Very good written and spoken English



Selection Process

๐Ÿ—‚๏ธ Applications are assessed on the information in the form only, and must be submitted through Eurojust eRecruitment (no other means accepted), in English

๐ŸŽฅ Only candidates invited for interviews are contacted; selected candidates have an online interview with the relevant unit and an HR representative

๐Ÿ“„ Before signing the agreement, trainees provide original documents evidencing identity, education, proof of sickness insurance and a certificate of good conduct (not older than six months)

๐Ÿชช Trainees must hold valid health insurance for the Netherlands throughout the traineeship (not covered by Eurojust); civil liability insurance is also advised
