Are you an experienced professional committed to a career in public service? The Johns Hopkins SAIS Public Service Scholars โ Scholarship Program is for mid-career professionals pursuing the Master of International Public Policy (MIPP) who have worked in public service and intend to return to it after earning their degree.
About the Program
Scholars receive a generous up-to-50% tuition scholarship to study at Johns Hopkins SAIS in Washington DC, developing a strategic skill set to tackle today's public policy challenges. The program promotes dialogue and understanding of public service through research, education and curated engagement with faculty and public service leaders. It is only open to Fall applicants, and they welcome applications from all backgrounds, including first-generation students, all genders and members of historically underrepresented groups.
Eligibility

๐ Must be admitted to the MIPP program on the Washington DC campus in the fall semester (full or part-time, taking at least two courses per semester)
๐ Proven leadership, academic aptitude and dedication to public service through professional experience
๐ถ Special consideration for applicants who demonstrate financial need

Requirements
๐ Begin the MIPP program in the fall semester
๐ Pursue the program full or part-time (part-time must take at least two classes per semester)
๐ Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher
๐ฃ๏ธ Participate in at least one admissions recruitment activity per semester, or serve as a mentor to a Public Service Fellow
๐ Submit brief program surveys each semester and a final comprehensive survey
๐ Complete Global Careers' Employment Outcomes Survey before graduating

How to Apply
๐ Apply simultaneously for the MIPP (fall semester) and the Public Service Scholars program: on the MIPP application, mark "Yes" for institutional aid and "Yes" for a "Public Service Award," then complete the Application for Financial Assistance and a scholarship essay. US citizens and permanent residents must also complete the FAFSA (Johns Hopkins SAIS school code E00474)
