Are you a young graduate interested in international relations, curious about the work of a diplomatic mission and how the EU represents its interests and values in Ukraine? The EU Delegation to Ukraine is offering a funded traineeship of up to 6 months in 2026 within its Administration Section (subject to budget), with a tentative start in July 2026.
About the Section
The Administration Section is the mission's central hub, coordinating procurement, IT, logistics and infrastructure, HR and accountancy to support diplomatic operations. It manages secure asset purchasing and the mission's protected technology framework, directs logistics and infrastructure for chancellery and residential facilities, supports HR through diplomatic accreditation, local staff management and onboarding, and handles accountancy to ensure regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.
Main Tasks
๐ Carry out survey tasks in real estate, property & facility management, energy efficiency and environmental management
๐ Analyse EU policies, HQ recommendations, industry best practices and applicable EU/Ukraine law on property safety, energy efficiency, environmental management and greening
๐๏ธ Update the Delegation's list of vendors and economic operators in those fields, plus events & hospitality
๐ Contribute to drafting reports and documents on the Delegation's real estate and office space
๐ Contribute to drafting technical requirements for procurement of supplies and services
๐ค Support communication with other sections, counterparts and suppliers
๐ ๏ธ Provide daily assistance on property and office-space management
๐ Participate in meetings and events attended by the Administration Section
Requirements
๐ Bachelor's degree in architecture, business/facility administration, real estate management, civil engineering, construction project management or a related field, with completed or ongoing master's studies
๐ฃ๏ธ Very good command of Ukrainian and very good spoken and written English
๐ป Very good command of main IT editing and presentation software
๐ค Good networking, interpersonal skills and attention to detail
๐ Experience in project management and facility administration
๐ฏ Service-delivery orientation
โ๏ธ Knowledge of Ukraine's institutional system and law
๐ Experience in analysis and reporting
๐ฅ Experience working in a team and coordinating inputs from colleagues
Who Can Apply
๐บ๐ฆ Due to the ongoing Russian aggression against Ukraine, only Ukrainian citizens currently residing in Ukraine will be considered
