HOTREC is looking for a motivated intern to join its team and support its EU advocacy efforts. This internship is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in European policy-making and hospitality sector issues.


About HOTREC

HOTREC is the leading European association representing hotels, restaurants, bars, cafรฉs and similar establishments. It advocates for the hospitality sector in Europe, driving policy change on key issues such as digitalisation, sustainability, food, social affairs and tourism. Based in Brussels, the HOTREC secretariat brings together 47 national associations across 36 countries, representing the sector's interests to the EU institutions and promoting knowledge sharing and best practices among its members.



Your Responsibilities

๐Ÿ” Monitoring EU legislative proposals impacting the hospitality sector

๐ŸŽฏ Assisting in the development and implementation of advocacy strategies

๐Ÿค Supporting internal and external meetings and events

๐Ÿ“ Drafting briefings and reports on meetings and events

๐Ÿ—‚๏ธ Assisting in managing EU-funded projects

๐Ÿ“ฃ Communications support โ€” media monitoring, website updates, social media and presentations



What They're Looking For

๐ŸŽ“ A university degree

๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡บ Familiarity with European politics and policies, and a good understanding of the EU, its institutions and processes

๐Ÿš€ Enthusiasm, eagerness to learn, a proactive attitude and strong attention to detail

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Strong written and oral communication

๐ŸŒ An excellent level of English; knowledge of other European languages is a plus
