Combining a century-old tradition of handicrafts and jewellery production with a charming hotel business, LAURI offers interns a varied, hands-on experience in tourism, sales, and traditional craftsmanship.
🎯 Internship Description
This is a summer traineeship for someone eager to dive into Lapland's culture and gain experience across hospitality, retail, social media, and traditional handicrafts. The intern's tasks are varied, balancing reception, sales, and creative work — all while living near the Arctic Circle.
📚 Your Tasks
🛍️ Receiving visitors at the shop and reception
🦌 Selling traditional handicrafts made of reindeer antler and wood
📱 Promoting the business on social media, especially increasing online sales
🛏️ Accommodating arriving guests
💻 Learning to use hotel management software (property management system and channel manager)
🧹 Helping with cleaning the premises (1–3 hours/day, not every day)
📦 Handling orders from the online store
🏷️ Coordinating wholesale orders
🎨 Optional: learning engravings and other handicraft tasks
