Located in the historic Ankerbrotfabrik, Das LOT operates as a hub for artistic research and cultural events, bringing together international artists, art mediators, and curators in collaborative formats.
๐ฏ Internship Description
This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience in the integration of media technologies within live performance, media art, and event production. You'll work directly with cutting-edge audiovisual systems and collaborate with artists, technicians, and producers in the realization of live events.
๐ Your Tasks
๐ก Supporting the use of lighting, sound, and video projection systems in experimental live events
๐๏ธ Researching and experimenting with audiovisual systems such as TouchDesigner, Resolume, grandMA, and LightShark lighting consoles
๐ฆ Supporting the development of LightLab, a format dedicated to experimentation in lighting, live media, and performative technologies
๐ช Participating in event production workflows โ from planning and stage setup to technical coordination and audience engagement
๐ญ Supporting concerts, performances, installations, exhibitions, artistic residencies, and other public formats
๐ค Collaborating with artists, technicians, and producers in the preparation and realization of live events
๐ Candidate Profile
The position is particularly suitable for students in Media Technology, Digital Media Production, Experimental Media, Media Art, Interactive Media, Live Event Technology, or related fields.
โ Academic or practical experience in audiovisual or event technologies (lighting, video mapping, sound, XR tools, or interactive media)
โ Interest in the intersection of media art, live performance, technical production, and cultural work
โ Motivated to collaborate in a dynamic, transdisciplinary environment
โ Communicates well in English (German is an asset)
โ Familiar with Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Notion for coordination and documentation
โ Open to experimental processes, artistic research, and hands-on technical work
๐ Requirements
โ Eligibility for an Erasmus+ traineeship abroad
โ Availability for 3 to 9 months
โ Participation in weekly meetings and scheduled public events
๐ฐ Compensation
This is an unpaid internship, designed for students using an Erasmus+ grant or a similar university agreement.
