When something goes wrong during a youth exchange โ a panic attack, an escalating conflict, a participant going missing, an unsafe situation โ most youth workers are not prepared. No one really trains you for those moments. This training course does exactly that, in a practical and honest way.
Youth Human Impact Association is organising Youth SOS โ an international Erasmus+ Training Course for youth workers taking place in Tykocin, Poland, from 8 to 18 June 2026. The course brings together participants from Poland, Finland, and Czechia to build real skills in crisis response, psychological first aid, and safeguarding in youth projects.
What Is This Training About?
Youth SOS is designed for youth workers and project leaders who may face crisis situations during youth exchanges and mobility activities. The programme combines hands-on methods, psychological support techniques, and safeguarding knowledge โ covering everything from mental health crises and interpersonal conflicts to accidents, missing participants, trauma, and violations of rules.

Who Should Apply?
๐น Age: 22 and above
๐น English level B1 or above โ minimum requirement
๐น Youth workers, teachers, educators, social workers, or community leaders working with young people โ especially in culturally diverse or migrant communities
๐น Interested in conflict management, intercultural dialogue, and combating misinformation
๐น Open-minded, respectful, and willing to collaborate in an intercultural group
๐น Committed to sharing project results locally and implementing a small follow-up action after the mobility
Practical Information
๐งฅ Bring warm clothes and shoes โ June in Poland can be rainy
๐ง๏ธ Take a rain jacket, hat, and comfortable shoes
๐ต Currency is PLN (Polish Zลoty) โ bring some cash for small shops that may not accept cards
๐ Towels are not provided โ bring your own (or borrow for 10 PLN in cash)
๐งด Bring your own personal hygiene items โ shampoo, soap, toothbrush, flip flops
๐ Bring any necessary medication or basic medical supplies
๐ Poland uses type C and E sockets (230V)
๐ฑ EU SIM cards work in Poland without roaming charges
๐ก๏ธ European Health Insurance Card or equivalent insurance covering the full duration of the mobility is required โ costs covered by the participant
Travel Reimbursement
Accommodation, meals, and travel reimbursement are provided according to Erasmus+ rules.
โ ๏ธ Do NOT purchase any tickets before consulting with the organiser.
โ ๏ธ Without a travel plan and purchase confirmation, your participation may be considered cancelled.
โ Only Economy/Class II tickets are reimbursable โ no taxis, private cars, business class, or flight upgrades
๐ถ Up to โฌ10 from travel reimbursement is deducted for bank fees and administrative costs โ the final amount will be confirmed before arrival
Reimbursement is processed within 90 days of receiving all dissemination results and a complete set of documents including travel reimbursement forms and original tickets.
