DESCRIPTION

This project aims to promote inclusion and social cohesion within an intercultural day center welcoming people in vulnerable situations, including those experiencing poverty and exile. The volunteer will support a positive, respectful, and participatory environment while contributing to a sense of community and solidarity. Supporting Reception and help improve the Community Life - Welcome visitors and provide guidance on how the center operates - Help create a respectful, inclusive, and intercultural environment - Assist the team with informal mediation in case of minor tensions, under staff supervision Assisting with Group Activities - Support the organization and facilitation of workshops (cultural, language, creative, sports, or cooking activities) - Suggest activity ideas that encourage expression, participation, and autonomy - Help with logistical preparation and contribute to activity evaluation


ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS

Volunteers will be accommodated in an apartment belonging to the city of Strasbourg and will receive additionnal pocket money for the food fees. A subscription for the local transport services will also be provided.


TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY

Volunteers will take part in two seminars organised be the french ESC Agency, and three sessions organized by VISA-AD. All travels and accomodations for those trainings are included


PARTICIPANT PROFILE

A creative, dynamic and autonomous profile is ideal. A basic level in French is a plus
