What does repairing a circuit board, 3D printing a spare part, or turning recycled materials into a musical instrument have to do with youth work? Everything โ€” if you know how to use it. This free online seminar is for youth workers who want to guide young people towards green jobs and green careers, with concrete tools and real partnerships to make it happen.

Digijeunes and the Trash to Treasure project consortium are organising a free 2-hour online seminar on 3 June 2026, from 2pm to 4pm Paris time. The seminar brings together organisations and companies whose mission is to promote the circular economy, encourage green jobs and careers among young people, and educate on digital skills and digital transformation.

What Is This Seminar About?

The Trash to Treasure consortium consists of four partner organisations โ€” each specialising in a different dimension of the green and digital transition:

๐Ÿ”ง COGITO (Italy) โ€” repair, reuse, and reconditioning of electronic boards and components

๐Ÿ–จ๏ธ De Creatieve Stem (Belgium) โ€” 3D printing and scanning for sustainable making, repair, and creative innovation

๐ŸŽต Ayamola (Spain) โ€” creative reuse art, transforming recycled materials into artworks and musical devices

โ™ป๏ธ Digijeunes (France) โ€” recycling and transforming materials to create new valuable and purposeful items

Session Structure

๐Ÿ•‘ First part (30 minutes) Consortium presentation โ€” how each partner relates to the circular economy and promotes green jobs among young people

๐Ÿ•‘ Second part (approximately 45 minutes) Concrete examples of engaging young people in reuse, material transformation, digital fabrication, and repair practices โ€” including illustrations of practical workshops such as recycling plastic, digital fabrication techniques, CAD software in repair practices, and musical instrument making through creative reuse

๐Ÿ•‘ Third part (approximately 30 minutes) Ideas on how to engage young people with the circular economy, where to identify local circular economy actors, and how to approach them to initiate collaborations

๐Ÿ•‘ Final part (approximately 20 minutes) Q&A session between facilitators and participants

๐ŸŒ A clear understanding of practical activities that can be offered to young people โ€” electronic repair, material transformation, digital fabrication, creative reuse in the arts

๐ŸŽ“ Competence in delivering and planning these activities โ€” including logistics, materials, and implementation

๐Ÿค Ability to identify potential partnerships with circular economy enterprises to strengthen educational workshops on green jobs

๐Ÿ’ก Ability to explain to young people what jobs in the circular economy involve using concrete, real-world examples

Who Should Apply?
