Prague, a well-established NGO with over three decades of experience, and a role that takes you from administrative work to leading a workcamp in the Czech countryside. This ESC placement is for someone who wants to understand how impactful international volunteering is actually organised โ from the inside.
INEX-SDA is a Czech NGO founded in 1991, dedicated to promoting international voluntary work and intercultural education. As an ESC volunteer, you will join their Educational Department and work directly alongside project coordinators on a range of global education and soft skills development initiatives. This is not a shadowing role โ you will be an active, contributing member of the team.
What Is This Role About?
INEX-SDA works at the intersection of global education, active solidarity, and non-formal learning. Their projects focus on themes like ethical communication, leadership development, and international volunteering. As a volunteer, you will support the delivery of these projects from multiple angles โ logistical, administrative, communicative, and on-site. And uniquely, every ESC volunteer at INEX-SDA leads at least one workcamp in Czechia during their placement.
Activities
๐ Collecting data and drafting documents for educational projects
๐ Reviewing existing methods and approaches used in global education programmes
๐ข Contributing to dissemination of project outcomes and content
๐ Logistical support for trainings, meetings, and seminars
๐ฏ Active participation in on-site educational activities
๐ฌ Communication with participants across various projects
๐ Administrative work โ contracts, timesheets, travel reimbursements, and project documentation
๐๏ธ Leading at least one workcamp in Czechia as part of the ESC placement
Who Should Apply?
INEX-SDA is open to anyone genuinely motivated โ but they are clear about what the role actually involves.
๐น Open-minded and flexible with a willingness to learn and invest energy
๐น Able to work both independently and as part of a team
๐น Comfortable with reading and writing longer texts and creating written outputs
๐น At ease with checking project documentation โ much of the work is administrative
๐น Good level of English is necessary
๐น Previous experience with event organisation or in the NGO sector is an asset but not required
๐น Strongly motivated to become an active member of the team โ not just a participant
