BirdLife Malta is looking for an ESC volunteer to join their Education Team as a Public Engagement Assistant — a varied, outward-facing role combining environmental education, communication, and community engagement.

📋 What You'll Do
📣 Outreach and Engagement
🎤 Lead educational talks and activities at primary and secondary schools
👩🏫 Encourage and train teachers to carry out nature-based learning
🎓 Support the delivery of teacher training workshops
🤝 Participate in community engagement and membership activities
🎪 Support events related to nature education and conservation
✍️ Communication and Administration
📝 Write articles, social media posts, and reels using CapCut
📧 Produce monthly newsletters using MailChimp
📊 Keep up-to-date engagement data
📅 Attend regular meetings with the education team
📋 Compile an end-of-year handover report
🌍 Erasmus+ Projects
🗂️ Support the delivery of Erasmus+ international project deliverables and events

👤 Who Should Apply
BirdLife Malta is looking for volunteers aged 18–30 who are:
😊 Outgoing, friendly, and keen to meet new people and experience a different culture
🐦 Interested in improving bird, flora, and other species identification skills
🌿 Passionate about inspiring and educating people about the natural world
🗂️ Willing to develop administration, time management, numeracy, and interpersonal skills
🔄 Adaptable and flexible — including occasional weekend and public holiday work
