Young people affected by displacement and uncertainty. A Ukrainian Educational Hub being built into a place of learning, healing, and connection. And a team of international volunteers showing up β together β to make sure no one faces those challenges alone. Youth on a Mission 2.0 is an ESC team volunteering project in TimiΘoara, Romania, coordinated by FITT (FundaΘia JudeΘeanΔ pentru Tineret TimiΘ) β a placement rooted in genuine solidarity and human connection.
π’ About the Project
Youth on a Mission 2.0 builds on FITT's experience in supporting displaced and refugee youth. It brings international volunteers into aΒ shared journey of solidarity, friendship, and actionΒ β creating a space where young people affected by displacement can feel seen, welcomed, and connected, while all participants learn from each other and grow together. The project contributes directly to building theΒ Ukrainian Educational HubΒ in TimiΘoara into a space full of learning, healing, and positive energy.
π What You'll Do
π Facilitate non-formal education workshops for young people with fewer opportunities, including refugee youth
π Organise and participate in intercultural exchange activities
π¨ Lead creative arts activities and community events
ποΈ Contribute to building the Ukrainian Educational Hub as a welcoming and active space
π€ Create genuine friendships and connections with young people facing loneliness, fear, or difficulties fitting in
π What the Project Provides
π Accommodation in Youth House β twin room with 2 or 3 single beds
π³ Shared kitchen with β¬5 per day food allowance and β¬4 per day pocket money
π Airport, train, or bus station pickup on arrival to Youth House
π Public transport subscription provided
π Induction session on ESC and non-formal education
ποΈ On-board training organised by FITT β covering facilitation techniques, human rights, working with refugees, mediation, and stress and risk management
π€ Who Should Apply
This project is for young people aged 18β30 who are:
π£οΈ Have conversational English skills
π¬ Strong communicators with good time management
π Open-minded and responsible, with a genuine interest in working with youth with fewer opportunities
β€οΈ Ready to be part of a team built on solidarity and human connection
