๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ท Erasmus+ Study Visit in Tรผrkiye ๐ŸŽค Story Act: Civic Storytelling in Action ๐ŸŒ

Stories change things. They challenge stereotypes, amplify unheard voices, and shift public opinion in ways that data and arguments rarely can. STORY-ACT: Stories for Change is an Erasmus+ KA154 youth participation project, and this study visit in ฤฐzmir, Tรผrkiye is its third and final mobility โ€” bringing participants face to face with how civic storytelling works in real communities, organisations, and youth initiatives on the ground.

๐ŸŽฏ About STORY-ACT

STORY-ACT is a collaboration between four youth organisations from Austria, Romania, Spain, and Tรผrkiye, delivered through three international mobilities:

๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡น “The Art of Storytelling for Change” โ€” Vienna, Austria (October 2025)

๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡ด “Storytelling in Action” โ€” Cluj-Napoca, Romania (January 2026)

๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ท “Civic Storytelling” โ€” ฤฐzmir, Tรผrkiye (June 2026) โ† this mobility

๐Ÿ™๏ธ About the Study Visit

This mobility is designed as a 4-day study visit combining interactive workshops, field visits to local NGOs and community initiatives, and meetings with professionals working in storytelling, advocacy, and communication. After exploring personal storytelling in Austria and advocacy storytelling in Romania, participants now step into real-life civic storytelling practices in ฤฐzmir.

๐Ÿ“‹ What You’ll Do

๐ŸŽญ Participate in interactive workshops on civic storytelling and social impact

๐Ÿ˜๏ธ Join field visits to local NGOs, community initiatives, and youth organisations across ฤฐzmir

๐Ÿค Meet professionals working in storytelling, advocacy, and communication

๐Ÿ” Take part in reflection sessions to connect learning with personal and local contexts

๐Ÿ’ก Design your own storytelling-based ideas and actions to bring back to your community

๐ŸŽ What’s Covered

โœ… Fully funded โ€” travel, accommodation, food, and all programme activities covered 100%

๐Ÿ  Accommodation at Otel Vesta Fuar, ฤฐzmir โ€” shared rooms. Main sessions take place at the hotel’s training facilities

๐Ÿฝ๏ธ Breakfast provided at the hotel โ€” other meals arranged at the hotel or nearby locations during visits

๐ŸšŒ All local transport related to the mobility covered

โœˆ๏ธ Travel costs reimbursed per country according to Erasmus+ distance rules:

๐Ÿ’ถ Austria โ€” โ‚ฌ309

๐Ÿ’ถ Romania โ€” โ‚ฌ309

๐Ÿ’ถ Spain โ€” โ‚ฌ395

๐Ÿ’ถ Tรผrkiye โ€” โ‚ฌ50

โš ๏ธ Keep all tickets and boarding passes โ€” reimbursement is based on the most reasonable and cost-effective route, up to the country limit.

๐Ÿ›ฌ Getting to the Venue

Nearest airport: ฤฐzmir Adnan Menderes Airport (ADB)

๐Ÿš† Take the ฤฐZBAN suburban train from the airport towards AliaฤŸa โ€” get off at Kemer station โ€” approximately 10โ€“15 minute walk to Vesta Fuar Hotel. Total journey: around 40โ€“45 minutes.

๐Ÿš• Alternatively, taxi from the airport takes approximately 25โ€“30 minutes.

โš ๏ธ Practical Notes

๐ŸŒก๏ธ June in ฤฐzmir means warm and sunny weather โ€” bring light clothes, sunscreen, and comfortable shoes

๐Ÿ’ง Tap water is not drinkable โ€” bring a reusable water bottle

๐Ÿ’ฑ Local currency is the Turkish Lira (TRY) โ€” approximately 1โ‚ฌ = 51 TRY

๐Ÿฅ Valid health and travel insurance required

๐Ÿ“‹ After the Study Visit

Participants are encouraged to:

๐Ÿ˜๏ธ Organise small storytelling or discussion sessions in their communities

๐Ÿค Stay connected with other participants and support each other’s initiatives

๐Ÿ“ฃ Contribute stories and reflections to the STORY-ACT digital campaign

๐Ÿ‘ค Who Should Apply

This study visit is for 16โ€“18 young people aged 18โ€“30 from Austria, Romania, Spain, and Tรผrkiye who are:

๐ŸŽญ Curious about storytelling and social change

๐Ÿ—ณ๏ธ Interested in youth participation and civic engagement

๐ŸŒ Open to intercultural learning and collaboration

๐Ÿ’ฌ Comfortable communicating in English

No expertise required โ€” just curiosity and motivation.
