A kindergarten in Viljandi, Estonia is looking for an individual ESC volunteer to support teachers and children across its 11 groups, including three groups specifically for children with learning disabilities and special needs. Mรคnnimรคe Kindergarten serves around 200 children aged 2โ7 and is seeking a motivated, creative, and patient volunteer who genuinely loves working with young children. You will assist with daily indoor and outdoor activities, bring your own cultural background into the classroom, and become part of a warm and developing educational community. What Will You Do?
๐ง Daily Classroom Support: Assist teachers during games, lessons, and activities with children aged 2โ7 โ including in groups for children with learning disabilities and special needs.
๐จ Creative Activities: Use your own imagination to design and lead creative activities, crafts, games, and educational materials for the children โ your personal creativity is actively encouraged.
๐ Sports & Outdoor Activities: Participate in walks, outdoor play, and physical education activities alongside the teaching team and children throughout the school year.
๐ญ Cultural Sharing: Introduce your own culture, traditions, songs, and celebrations to the children and staff โ a valued and central part of the volunteer's contribution to the kindergarten community.
๐ต Events & Celebrations: Take part in the kindergarten's musical performances, theatre events, sports days, and traditional seasonal celebrations throughout the year.
๐ Lesson Preparation: Help prepare materials, props, and resources for activities and lessons, working alongside the teaching staff as a genuine team member.

Accommodation, Food & Travel
๐ Accommodation: Volunteers are housed in a shared apartment or hostel conveniently located near the hosting organisation. Rooms may be private or shared depending on availability, with shared kitchen and bathroom facilities.
๐ฐ Pocket Money: โฌ5 per day pocket money is provided throughout the volunteering period.
๐ฝ๏ธ Food Allowance: An additional food allowance is provided to support self-managed meals.
โ๏ธ Travel Costs: International travel is reimbursed based on the set ESC travel budget. Task-related local transport is covered in full.
Training & Learning
๐ ESC Training Cycle: Volunteers participate in the full ESC training cycle organised by the Estonian National Agency, focused on personal development and intercultural learning.
