What Does the Scholarship Cover?
๐ถ Annual Grant: Up to โฌ10,225 per academic year to support living expenses during your studies in Belgium.
๐ Tuition Fee: Scholars pay only the lowest rate of the yearly tuition fee applicable to students receiving a Flemish Government study grant โ set at โฌ136.5 for the 2025โ26 academic year, representing a near-full tuition waiver.
๐ฅ Health Insurance: Comprehensive health insurance is included for the duration of the scholarship.
๐ผ Right to Work: International students on this scholarship are permitted to work up to 20 hours per week alongside their studies.

Eligibility & Requirements
๐ Nationality: Open to students of all nationalities. Students currently enrolled at Flemish higher education institutions are not eligible.
๐ Education: Must have completed a Bachelor's degree at an institution outside Belgium. All new international students admitted to any Master's programme (including advanced masters) at Ghent University for 2026โ27 are eligible to be considered.
๐ Academic Excellence: A GPA of at least 3.5 out of 4.0 and a strong academic record are required. The scholarship is designed for academically outstanding candidates.
๐ฃ๏ธ English Proficiency: Demonstrated through IELTS, TOEFL, or Cambridge English โ as required for admission to the English-taught Master's programme.
โ ๏ธ No Direct Application: Students cannot apply for the scholarship directly. You must first apply for and be admitted to a Master's programme at Ghent University. The Master's programme coordinator will then nominate up to 2 outstanding candidates for scholarship consideration.

How to Apply
1๏ธโฃ Apply for a Master's Programme: Submit your application for an English-taught Master's degree programme at Ghent University via the official application portal before 1 April 2026.
