๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฑ Erasmus+ Internship in Netherlands ๐Ÿ”‹ Research Intern ๐ŸŒฑ Battery Regeneration & Circular Economy, Amsterdam (Remote) ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฑ

A sustainability-driven cleantech startup based in Amsterdam, Netherlands is seeking an Erasmus+ Research Intern to support its research, strategy, and knowledge-building activities. Revive Battery is transforming the energy sector through advanced battery regeneration and circular economy innovation โ€” extending battery life, reducing waste, and minimising environmental impact. This is a fully remote, part-time internship offering deep exposure to energy policy, sustainability markets, and applied research in one of Europe's most forward-thinking startup environments.

๐ŸŒ Did You Know? The Netherlands is a global leader in circular economy policy and consistently ranks among the top countries in the EU for sustainability innovation. Amsterdam was one of the first major cities in the world to officially adopt a circular economy strategy, committing to halve its use of new raw materials by 2030.

What Will You Do?

๐Ÿ” Desk Research: Conduct in-depth research on battery technologies, circular economy models, sustainability frameworks, energy systems, and climate policy.
๐Ÿ“– Literature & Report Synthesis: Review and synthesise academic literature, industry reports, market studies, and policy documents into clear, structured insights.
๐Ÿ“ Research Output Creation: Support the preparation of research briefs, internal strategy notes, white papers, and presentation materials for internal and external audiences.
๐Ÿ“Š Data Collection & Analysis: Assist with data collection, structuring, and both qualitative and quantitative analysis to support strategic decisions.
๐Ÿ“ก Trend Tracking: Monitor regulatory developments, market trends, and technological innovations relevant to battery lifecycle management and the energy transition.
๐Ÿข Benchmarking: Support competitor, technology, and market benchmarking exercises to inform strategic positioning.
๐Ÿค Cross-Team Collaboration: Work with fundraising, marketing, and technical teams to translate research insights into business-relevant outputs and thought leadership content.
๐ŸŒ Did You Know? Battery regeneration โ€” the process of restoring degraded batteries to near-original capacity โ€” can extend battery life by up to 30โ€“50%, dramatically reducing the need for new raw material extraction. As the world transitions to electric vehicles and renewable energy storage, this technology is becoming a critical pillar of the global circular economy.
