Are you ready to spark social change in the beautiful city of Osijek? 🇭🇷✨ DKolektiv - Organization for Social Development is looking for a dynamic team of 11 international volunteers for "RISE - Reinforcing Inclusion and Social Engagement." This short-term volunteering team project is your chance to design and lead local volunteer actions, promote active citizenship, and participate in the massive national campaign "Croatia Volunteers." 🌍 Did You Know? Osijek is known as the "Green City" of Croatia due to its numerous parks and the Drava River promenade. It was also the first city in Croatia to have a tram system, dating back to 1884! 🚋🌳
Volunteer Activities & Tasks
🤝 Community Engagement: Designing and organizing volunteer actions in collaboration with local Croatian citizens and NGOs.
📢 Promotion: Spreading awareness about the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) program and active citizenship among youth.
🏫 Educational Support: Working with schoolchildren and elderly groups through workshops and creative events.
🇭🇷 National Campaign: Participating in "Croatia Volunteers," a nationwide manifestation bringing together the public, business, and educational sectors.
🛠️ Hands-on Work: Being ready for physical community tasks—make sure to bring some older clothes you don't mind getting dirty!
Training & Mentorship
💡 Orientation: DKolektiv provides specialized education during the first few days covering community development and volunteering field work.
🎓 Expert Guidance: You will work alongside experienced youth workers and experts in the civil sector.
🧘 Mentorship: Quality preparation and ongoing mentorship for specific activities involving children or the elderly.
🌍 Did You Know? The "Croatia Volunteers" campaign is one of the biggest annual events in the country, proving that solidarity can unite people from all walks of life—from students to business leaders! 🕊️🇭🇷
Accommodation & Support
🏠 Living: Volunteers live in a fully equipped apartment in Osijek. Expect to share multi-bed rooms, the kitchen, and the bathroom with your teammates.
💰 Money: You will receive 10 EUR/day as pocket money (approx. 180 EUR total) and an additional 150 EUR for food costs.
✈️ Travel: Reimbursed upon successful completion of the full project duration.
Participant Profile
🔞 Age: 18 - 30 years old.
🗣️ Skills: English communication (speaking and writing) and the ability to adapt to shared living conditions.
🤝 Attitude: Team player, flexible, patient, and highly motivated to work with children and diverse community members.
