Naples โ Italy's most passionate, vibrant, and culturally electric city โ is the setting for this fully-funded Erasmus+ training course bringing together youth workers, trainers, and volunteers who use dance and the performing arts in their work with young people. Over nine days, participants will deepen their artistic-educational skills, develop intercultural choreographies, and even perform at Naples' renowned "Maggio dei Monumenti" art festival. ๐ Did You Know? Naples is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world โ founded by Greek colonists over 2,800 years ago as Neรกpolis, meaning "New City." Its historic centre is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, home to more than 400 churches and an extraordinary underground network of ancient tunnels and cisterns. It is also the birthplace of pizza, the tarantella dance, and one of Europe's most intense and irresistible urban cultures.

๐ Did You Know? Dance has been recognised by researchers and educators as one of the most powerful non-formal learning tools available โ supporting emotional regulation, social cohesion, intercultural understanding, and self-expression in young people. The Maria Fux methodology, developed by the Argentine dancer and therapist Marรญa Fux, is particularly celebrated for its use of movement as therapy and communication for people of all abilities and backgrounds.
Who Can Apply?
๐ญ Youth workers, trainers, and volunteers who use theatre, dance, or other artistic activities in their work with young people
๐ Residents of one of the seven eligible partner countries (Bulgaria, Italy, Latvia, North Macedonia, Portugal, Romania, Spain)
๐ Priority given to those working on social inclusion โ especially with migrants, war asylum seekers, and young people with disabilities
๐ No age limit โ but priority given to younger participants and those with financial difficulties or without permanent employment
๐ A genuine interest in dance, performing arts, and using creativity as an educational tool is essential
๐ฅ EU participants must bring their European Health Insurance Card (EHIC)
โ ๏ธ Do not buy travel tickets before receiving confirmation from your partner organisation
Accommodation, Food & Travel
๐จ Accommodation at Pizza Hostel in Naples city centre โ a well-positioned, clean, and welcoming hostel in the historical heart of the city (Via San Paolo 44)
๐ฝ๏ธ All meals included โ plus intercultural food nights where participants share specialities from their home countries
๐ฐ No participation fee โ all subsistence and training costs are fully covered
โ๏ธ Travel reimbursed up to โฌ309 for participants travelling from abroad โ original tickets, boarding passes, and invoices are required for reimbursement
๐ฅ European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) required for all EU participants โ travel insurance is also recommended
