🌍 ESC Volunteering Opportunity in Portugal
The project “ESC Vacancy at JFC (Cultural Department)” is an ESC Individual Volunteering opportunity hosted in Lisbon, Portugal. The volunteer will work with the Cultural Department of the local administrative institution Junta de Freguesia de Carnide, specifically at Library Natália Correia.
The project focuses on cultural participation, education and digital inclusion within the local community of Carnide. Volunteers will support the daily activities of the library while also helping to develop creative, educational and cultural initiatives for children, youth and adult readers.
Through this experience, the volunteer will engage with the local community and contribute to cultural programs while gaining valuable experience in community work, non-formal education and intercultural learning.

📚 Supporting the library team and assisting readers in the reception and Internet area for adults
💻 Supporting ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) training activities for adults
🧑🎓 Assisting young people in the youth Internet area with research and school homework
📰 Collaborating with the team in creating digital communication materials and online publications
🧑💻 Developing and implementing a digital bulletin or online newspaper with young readers
🎭 Organizing and supporting educational and cultural activities for children, youth and adults
📂 Helping with the organization of the library collection and archives
🎪 Supporting cultural initiatives organized by the Parish Local Council such as fairs, concerts and exhibitions
