๐ About the Seminar
The Youth@Work: Boosting Financial Literacy Among Young People Seminar is an international Erasmus+ Training and Cooperation Activity (TCA) that will take place in Istanbul, Tรผrkiye.
The seminar focuses on strengthening the financial literacy competences of youth workers, educators and project managers so they can better support young people in understanding financial management, economic independence and responsible decision-making.
In an increasingly complex economic environment, financial literacy has become a crucial competence for young peopleโs autonomy, well-being and social inclusion.
This activity aims to equip participants with practical tools, non-formal education methods and project development skills to promote financial literacy among young people across Europe and neighbouring partner countries.
๐ฏ Objectives
๐ฐ Define the key components of financial literacy relevant for young people today
๐ Share non-formal education methods and tools for teaching financial management
๐ Discuss the financial challenges young people face, including debt and financial independence
๐ค Develop new local and international youth projects focusing on economic empowerment
๐ง Methodology
The seminar follows non-formal education principles and includes interactive learning methods such as:
๐ค Plenary discussions
๐งฉ Workshops and simulation games
๐ Sharing of good practices
๐ Networking and project development sessions
๐ Field visits
Active participation and learner-centred learning approaches will be central to the seminar.
๐ Youth@Work Partnership
This seminar is organised within the Youth@Work Strategic Partnership, an Erasmus+ initiative focused on youth employability and entrepreneurship.
The partnership brings together Erasmus+ National Agencies and SALTO Resource Centres to strengthen cooperation, share expertise and develop projects addressing youth employment challenges across Europe.
