๐ŸŒ About the Volunteering Project

This European Solidarity Corps (ESC) long-term volunteering opportunity in Jelenia Gรณra, Poland focuses on youth work, social inclusion and community engagement, particularly supporting Ukrainian refugee youth and children living in rural collective housing centres.

The project is coordinated by a grassroots organization working under Erasmus+ Youth Accreditation and the ESC programme, combining local community action with international cooperation.

Volunteers contribute to educational, cultural and outdoor activities while supporting local youth initiatives and cross-border cooperation projects with partners from Germany and the Czech Republic.

Activities take place mainly in two community spaces located in the city centre:

These centres host community activities such as language clubs, board game meetings, workshops and youth events.

Volunteers may also design and lead their own workshops lasting 45โ€“90 minutes.

๐Ÿ  Accommodation, Food & Allowance

๐Ÿก Volunteers live in a fully equipped apartment in Jelenia Gรณra, about 15 minutes walking distance from the city centre.

The apartment includes:

๐Ÿณ Kitchen and basic equipment
๐Ÿงบ Washing machine and household facilities
๐Ÿ› Shared living space with another international volunteer

๐Ÿ’ถ Volunteers receive monthly pocket money and food allowance according to ESC rules.

๐ŸŽ“ Training & Learning Support

๐Ÿ“š ESC On-Arrival Training organised at national level
๐Ÿง  Mid-Term Training for reflection and learning
๐Ÿ‘ฅ Regular team meetings for planning and feedback

Within the organisation volunteers gain experience in:

๐Ÿค Community engagement
๐ŸŽ“ Non-formal education methods

๐Ÿ“œ Participants receive a Youthpass Certificate at the end of the project.

๐Ÿ‘ฅ Participant Profile

๐Ÿ‘ค Volunteers should be comfortable working with children and teenagers aged 6โ€“16.

The organisation is looking for volunteers who are:

๐ŸŽจ Open to creative activities such as music, theatre or visual arts
๐ŸŒฟ Interested in nature-based learning and outdoor activities
๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿคโ€๐Ÿง‘ Able to work both independently and in small teams
๐Ÿ’ก Proactive, responsible and emotionally mature

Applicants are asked to submit a 1โ€“2 minute introduction video presenting their interests and hobbies.

Experience in youth work or education is welcome, but motivation and commitment are the most important factors.
