🌿 About the Project
🌍 Join an ESC individual volunteering project in one of Belgium’s oldest recognised nature reserves
🦋 Contribute to nature protection biodiversity and environmental quality
🏡 Support the daily life of a visitor centre connected to a protected natural area
🤝 Be part of a local community working for sustainability and open spaces

🛠️ Volunteering Activities
🍽️ Help in the visitor centre bar and kitchen during opening hours
🌱 Support nature conservation and restoration activities in the reserve
🐎 Occasionally assist in caring for semi-wild grazers such as horses ponies and Galloways
📋 Support administrative tasks cleaning and general maintenance
🎒 Develop and assist with educational activities for children
🤝 Work closely with local volunteers staff and visitors

🏡 Accommodation & Support
🏠 Shared accommodation in and around Turnhout with other ESC volunteers
🛏️ Separate bedrooms with shared kitchen bathroom and living space
🚲 A bicycle provided as main transport to the visitor centre and around the area
💶 Pocket money and food allowance provided
🥪 Lunch possibilities available at the visitor centre
✈️ Travel costs fully covered according to ESC rules

📚 Training & Learning
🎓 On-the-job training provided by staff and experienced volunteers
🌱 Learning through diverse tasks in nature conservation and visitor centre work
🧠 Opportunity to take initiative and develop personal ideas
🌍 ESC on-arrival and mid-term trainings organised by the National Agency
