๐Ÿงญ About the Volunteering Opportunity
IRIDA Womenโ€™s Center Education and Recreational Activities Volunteer is an European Solidarity Corps individual volunteering opportunity hosted by United Societies of Balkans at Irida Womenโ€™s Center in Thessaloniki, Greece. The project focuses on supporting refugee, migrant, and local women who are among the most vulnerable, through education, psychosocial support, skill-building, and community-based recreational activities. Volunteers will contribute to a safe, inclusive, and empowering environment designed specifically for women.

To empower refugee, migrant, and local women through education, confidence-building, and inclusive recreational activities, while strengthening social inclusion and gender equality.

๐Ÿงฉ Volunteer Tasks and Activities
๐Ÿ“˜ Teach English language classes and or digital literacy to adult women
๐Ÿ’ป Support digital skills development using online tools and platforms
๐Ÿ“ Plan and deliver engaging lessons adapted to learnersโ€™ needs
๐ŸŽจ Lead recreational and creative group activities such as arts, crafts, cooking, or gymnastics
๐Ÿค Encourage participation, confidence, and self-expression in a safe space
๐Ÿ‘ฅ Collaborate with the team and share feedback on participantsโ€™ progress

๐Ÿ‘ค Participant Profile
๐Ÿ‘ฉ Female applicants only
๐ŸŽ‚ Aged 18โ€“30
๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Proficiency in English required minimum C1 level, native preferred
๐Ÿ“š Comfortable teaching English as a Foreign Language experience is an advantage
๐Ÿ’ป Confident using digital tools and computer platforms
๐ŸŒ Comfortable working in a multicultural and diverse environment
๐Ÿค Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and cultural sensitivity
๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Additional languages are a plus Greek, Arabic, Farsi, Ukrainian, Russian, French
