๐Ÿ” About the Activity
Erasmus Social Community brings together youth workers, youth leaders, trainers, and representatives of youth organisations working especially with young people from rural or disadvantaged backgrounds.

The activity responds to a shared European challenge: limited democratic awareness, low civic participation, and weak understanding of European citizenship among young people. In some contexts, including Romania, historical and political legacies still influence how youth perceive freedom, responsibility, leadership, and participation. Similar patterns appear across Europe, making international cooperation and peer learning essential.

This PBA is designed not only for learning, but also for working concretely on future cooperation, including the joint development of Erasmus+ KA2 project ideas and other long-term partnerships.

๐ŸŽฏ Objectives of the Activity

  • Strengthen sustainable international partnerships between youth organisations
  • Increase understanding of democratic values, civic participation, and voting
  • Support youth workers in developing democratic education tools from early ages
  • Raise awareness of European citizenship, equal rights, and EU opportunities
  • Challenge limiting mentalities inherited from past political systems
  • Encourage informed, active, and empowered youth participation
