About the company
Paahde is building a sports-coaching marketplace that connects athletes and active hobbyists with coaches across Finland โ because great coaches stay invisible today, found mostly by word of mouth, and the team wants to change that. (Note from the source: the company's public profile is listed as Paahde Roasting Oy, a Finnish specialty coffee roastery founded in 2023; the role description itself is for the sports-coaching marketplace โ both appear in the original listing.) Youth Works Hub shares founding-team software internships like this because they let you ship real product from the earliest days.
The opportunity
They're looking for a software-engineering intern to join the founding team and help build the platform from the ground up. You'd work directly with the CTO, ship real product features, and see what building a startup actually looks like up close.
What you'll work on
- Frontend: build the interfaces athletes and coaches use every day, with modern web tools.
- Full-stack: grow into work across the stack over time, with TypeScript, Node.js and PostgreSQL.
- Real features that go live and get used โ not throwaway tickets.
- Product decisions: help shape how features work, not just build to spec.
Tech stack: TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL, Supabase, Stripe, real-time messaging and video streaming.
