Your role: UI/UX Designer (with front-end knowledge)
Apollo is looking for a UI/UX Designer with front-end development knowledge to help create intuitive, visually appealing user experiences for its energy-management platform. The ideal candidate combines strong design skills with the ability to understand and implement designs using modern web technologies. You'll work closely with the product, engineering and AI teams to design dashboards, user journeys and customer-facing applications.
What you'll need (requirements)
- A strong UI/UX portfolio.
- Proficiency in Figma, Adobe XD or similar.
- HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- React / Next.js.
- An understanding of design systems and user flows.
- Experience turning designs into production-ready interfaces.
Nice to have
- Experience designing data-heavy dashboards.
- Understanding of energy, sustainability or IoT platforms.
- Familiarity with AI-powered applications.
- Experience with React and component libraries.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG).
- Fluency in Dutch or German is considered a plus.

The practical details
This is an unpaid Erasmus+ traineeship (during studies) supported only by the Erasmus+ grant, full-time at 40 hours per week, lasting 4 months (flexible), with a flexible start (as soon as possible; the listed date is 4 January 2027). Bachelor or Master level.
