🧭 About the Opportunity
This European Solidarity Corps volunteering opportunity takes place in Agen, France, hosted by Maison de l'Europe de Lot-et-Garonne, in cooperation with Ligue de l'Enseignement 47.
The project focuses on youth participation, civic engagement, and social inclusion, offering volunteers the chance to actively support the design, implementation, and promotion of youth-oriented events and projects at local, regional, and European levels. Volunteers will work closely with experienced tutors and will never be left alone to supervise groups.
This opportunity is ideal for young people interested in youth work, event organisation, civic education, communication, and social topics such as discrimination, sustainability, European mobility, and active citizenship.
🎯 Main Activities
🎤 Supporting the organisation of youth events, trainings, and gatherings
🤝 Assisting working groups at departmental and regional level
🗳️ Contributing to the Opinion Festival (themes, guests, preparation)
💬 Supporting “La Parole des Jeunes”, a youth debate group linked to the International Journalism Festival
🎲 Creating animations, games, and educational tools on topics such as discrimination, harassment, sustainability, secularism, and European mobility
📚 Supporting homework-help workshops for young people
🎨 Designing visual materials and supporting communication with volunteers and partners
🏠 Accommodation, Food & Financial Support
🏡 Accommodation provided in a studio located 10 minutes by bike from the organisation
🚲 Bicycle provided by the host organisation
✈️ Travel costs covered by the European Solidarity Corps
💶 Pocket money and insurance provided according to ESC rules
🎓 Training & Mentoring
👥 Continuous tutoring by:
• A civic service referent (administrative support, project review, future planning)
• A dedicated tutor within Ligue de l’Enseignement (daily guidance, mission follow-up, integration support)
🌍 Support with integration, city discovery, and interaction with other French and European volunteers
