๐ง๐ช European Pain Federation (EFIC) is a major non-profit medical society uniting 40 national chapters across Europe, working to improve pain medicine through education, research, advocacy, policy work, awareness campaigns, international congresses, schools, examinations and scientific publishing.
๐ What This Internship Offers
- Aย 6-month paid traineeship (โฌ remuneration according to Belgian CIP rules)
- A professional experience inside a Brussels-based EU-level health organisation
- Hands-on work inย communications, advocacy, events, policy monitoring & NGO operations

๐ฏ What You Will Do
๐ฃ Communications & Marketing
- โจ Draft articles, press releases & updates
- โจ Create engaging social media content
- โจ Develop visual materials & infographics
- โจ Update the website (WordPress)
- โจ Use email marketing tools (Mailchimp)
- โจ Support SEO & digital marketing tasks
- โจ Build & maintain CRM databases
๐๏ธ Advocacy & EU Affairs
- ๐งญ Track EU health policy developments
- ๐งญ Attend EU-level health events & summarise insights
- ๐งญ Support meetings with policymakers
- ๐งญ Help organise public advocacy events
๐๏ธ Association & Administrative Support
- ๐ Assist with governance meetings (Board & Council)
- ๐ Maintain databases & shared systems
- ๐ Support logistics, materials & office tasks
- ๐ Work closely with the Executive Secretary
๐ง Ideal Candidate Profile
Essential
- ๐ Background in communications, marketing, events, political science, European affairs
- ๐ฌ๐ง Excellent English writing & speaking
- ๐ก Familiarity with social media & communication tools
- ๐ค Team-oriented, motivated, flexible, proactive
- ๐ง Strong analytical & critical thinking
- ๐ Legal right to work in the EU
Desirable
- ๐ WordPress & Mailchimp knowledge
