About the Project 🇱🇻🌟

Hosted by Pietura ģimenei SIA at Ogres Baltā Valdorfskola in Ogre, Latvia 🇱🇻, this ESC volunteering opportunity takes place in a small, warm, human-centred Waldorf school that integrates arts, creativity, imagination, nature connection and experiential learning for children from early years to upper grades.
With only 76 students, the school focuses on rhythm, artistic processes, child development, compassion, relationships and cooperation — creating a community grounded in respect, curiosity and shared responsibility. Volunteers will play a meaningful role in supporting teachers, assisting with outdoor activities, organising community events and promoting sustainable practices within the school.

Project Activities 🎨🌱🌍

• 🌿 Assisting teachers during classes & outdoor activities
• 🎨 Supporting artistic, creative & rhythmic learning processes
• 🧩 Helping organise school activities & festivals
• 🌱 Creating events for students, families & community on sustainability
• ♻️ Promoting and implementing eco-friendly practices in the school
• 👧 Working in a supportive Waldorf educational environment

Accommodation, Food & Transport 🏠🍽️🚲

• 🏡 Volunteers share a comfortable apartment near the school
• 🚲 Bicycle provided + convenient public transport
• 🍽️ Vegetarian lunch & afternoon meal offered on school days
