Description:
Join the Solidarity in Primorska project, where 16 volunteers will work together to assist people in need, support local communities and NGOs, help farmers, and contribute to care homes for children and the elderly. This hands-on volunteering experience focuses on sustainability, environmental protection, and charity. In 2021, this project was nominated as one of Europe’s top five volunteering projects by the Salto Awards.
Accommodation, Food & Transport:
- Volunteers will live in a shared accommodation center in Kastelec.
- Shared bathrooms, kitchen, and relaxation spaces are provided.
- Meals: Volunteers will prepare three vegetarian meals daily together.
- Travel expenses, food, accommodation, insurance, and a daily allowance of €5 are covered.
Training & Free Time:
- Full support from a work coordinator and personal mentor.
- Engage in rock climbing, hiking, swimming, basketball, and social activities like games, movie nights, and more.
- Explore the stunning Istria region known for its natural beauty and culinary excellence.
Participant Profile:
- Open to individuals passionate about sustainability, environmental protection, and community work.
- Be prepared for hands-on tasks such as renovation, farming, and maintaining trekking paths.
- Preference will be given to volunteers with fewer opportunities.
