๐ŸŒŸ About the Project

Europe on Track is one of Europeโ€™s most iconic youth-led initiatives, powered by AEGEE and run entirely by passionate volunteers ๐ŸŒโœจ. Every year, six young ambassadors travel across Europe by train ๐Ÿš†โ€” visiting over 20 cities, meeting youth communities, facilitating workshops, and collecting young peopleโ€™s voices on urgent social topics. Thanks to the support of Eurail, the European Youth Foundation, the Council of Europe and the European Union, this programme gives young changemakers a chance to witness Europe firsthand, share ideas, and spark meaningful dialogue across borders ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ’ฌ.

The project team designs a new annual theme each cycle, creating space for awareness-raising, civic engagement, youth participation, and intercultural learning. Ambassadors collaborate with 200+ local volunteers, meet countless young people, and become part of a Europe-wide movement for change.

๐Ÿ’ฌ Theme of Europe on Track 12: Eco-Anxiety โ€“ How to Channel It?

This year, the project focuses on eco-anxiety โ€” a growing emotional response felt by millions of young Europeans who fear environmental degradation, climate instability, and an uncertain future ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ’ญ.
Europe on Track 12 explores:

  • ๐Ÿง  The psychological and social dimensions of climate concern
  • ๐Ÿค How community support and peer networks reduce anxiety
  • ๐ŸŒ How eco-anxiety can motivate systemic change
  • ๐Ÿ’ก Turning fear into climate action, civic engagement & collective resilience

Through workshops, interviews, discussions, and local events, ambassadors help youth transform anxiety into action, support, and hope.

๐Ÿš† How the Programme Works

The journey includes:

  • ๐Ÿงญ A preparatory training week for all ambassadors
  • ๐Ÿš† Two teams of three ambassadors traveling across 15+ countries
  • ๐ŸŽค Workshops, interviews, events & youth meetings
  • ๐Ÿ›๏ธ A Final Conference bringing all insights together
  • ๐Ÿ’ป Online preparation (3โ€“4 hours weekly during Aprilโ€“May)
