Join Zavod za Mladino, Å port in Turizem Trbovlje (ZMÅ T) in Trbovlje, Slovenia, and support students in learning German while discovering Slovenian culture and education! šŸ‡©šŸ‡ŖšŸ“š

This European Solidarity Corps project gives you the chance to share your language, culture, and creativity with high school students while gaining valuable experience in non-formal education and intercultural communication.

You’ll work alongside teachers, organise interactive learning sessions, and engage with young people in creative and dynamic ways — both in the classroom and during after-school youth activities.

šŸ’” What You’ll Do

  • šŸ’¬Ā Speak and trainĀ German languageĀ with students
  • šŸŽØĀ Prepare engaging and non-formalĀ language activities and workshops
  • šŸŒĀ Present yourĀ culture and traditionsĀ at the school
  • 🧠 Plan and implement aĀ Solidarity activityĀ within the school community
  • šŸ¤Ā SupportĀ after-school events and youth activitiesĀ at the local youth centre

šŸ” Accommodation, Food & Allowance

  • Accommodation inĀ ZMÅ T hostel apartments – private bed and work area, shared kitchen and bathroom with another volunteer
  • Allowance: €5 per day
  • Food allowance: €126/month
  • Food cost reimbursement:Ā up to €70/month (with receipts)
  • Free public transport cardĀ for local travel in Trbovlje
  • Weekends free (except for special events); volunteers also receiveĀ 2 additional free days per month

šŸŽ“ Training & Support

  • Participation inĀ On-arrival and Mid-term trainingsĀ organised by theĀ Slovenian National Agency
  • Continuous mentoring and support from school staff and youth centre coordinators
  • Opportunities to improve teaching and facilitation skills in an intercultural setting

We’re looking for a German-speaking volunteer (aged 18–30) who is:

  • Motivated to work with students and support education
  • Kind, reliable, creative, and open to new experiences
  • Interested in youth work, language teaching, and cultural exchange
  • Ready to bring their own ideas and energy to a vibrant school and community
