This European Solidarity Corps project offers an unforgettable volunteering experience in Palermo, Italy 🇮🇹, where participants will contribute to promoting Erasmus+ and ESC programmes, youth empowerment, and intercultural exchange.
💡 About the Project
The “Small Steps for Big Changes” project welcomes two young Portuguese volunteers (aged 18–30) living in Oliveira de Azeméis, S. João da Madeira, Vale de Cambra, Arouca, Sever do Vouga, or Castelo de Paiva.
Volunteers will:
🌍 Support CEIPES staff in daily office and outreach work
🎨 Facilitate workshops, outdoor activities, and youth training courses
🧩 Assist in activities with children and local community events
💬 Promote Erasmus+ and ESC opportunities among young people
📸 Help with communication materials and local dissemination actions
The project is ideal for enthusiastic young people looking to develop new skills, gain international experience, and contribute to local community initiatives in Palermo.
🏡 Accommodation, Food & Transport
🏠 Accommodation, food allowance, pocket money, and insurance are fully covered by the European Solidarity Corps programme.
✈️ Travel costs (Portugal–Italy–Portugal) are reimbursed according to ESC regulations.
🍽️ Volunteers will receive support for meal expenses and live in shared accommodation with other international participants.
🧭 Training & Support
🎓 Volunteers participate in On-Arrival and Mid-Term Training organised by the Italian National Agency.
🗣️ Language courses and specific task-oriented training are provided.
💪 Additional training opportunities may be offered depending on each volunteer’s interests.

This opportunity is open to:

💬 No prior experience or English language skills required
