The 2025 YPP Exam Area is Global Communications, offering a unique opportunity for aspiring professionals to begin their UN journey as Associate Officers (P2 level) in international communications, public information, and strategic media.
Those who pass the exam will be placed on a UN roster valid for three years, eligible for recruitment into positions across various UN offices worldwide, including New York, Geneva, Nairobi, Bangkok, Vienna, Beirut, Santiago, and Addis Ababa.

๐ฏ Main Responsibilities
As an Associate Communications Officer, successful candidates may:
๐ฐ Develop and implement global communication campaigns.
๐ฅ Produce multimedia content (videos, podcasts, and digital storytelling).
๐ข Manage public relations, press briefings, and media partnerships.
๐ Conduct social media and data analysis to shape communication strategy.
๐๏ธ Draft speeches, reports, and content for UN communications platforms.
๐ Build cross-platform strategies promoting UN priorities and outreach.

The YPP selection involves three stages:

2๏ธโฃ Online Written Examination โ two parts (General & Specialized Papers).
3๏ธโฃ Oral Examination โ conducted via online interview.
Successful candidates are placed on a global roster valid for 3 years.
