💡 Project Overview
Looking for a truly creative adventure in the heart of Andalusia? 🌞 Join the Creative Rural Lab in Purchena, Spain, hosted by Ayuntamiento de Purchena, and bring your creativity, energy, and ideas to life while supporting local community development. 🇪🇸
This 7-month European Solidarity Corps project combines culture, digital innovation, and rural life. Volunteers will work with local schools, youth centres, libraries, and associations to design workshops, artistic projects, and intercultural activities that inspire participation, inclusion, and sustainability. 🌿🎨
You’ll collaborate with local people and other young Europeans to connect generations through creativity, communication, and non-formal learning — while discovering the authentic charm of rural southern Spain. 💬✨
🏡 Accommodation, Food & Travel
- Volunteers will live in shared accommodation in Purchena equipped with all essential facilities. 🏠
- Food and pocket allowances are provided monthly. 🍽️
- Travel costs to and from Spain are reimbursed according to ESC guidelines. ✈️
- The project also covers health insurance, mentorship, and local transport. 🚍
🧭 Volunteer Roles
This project welcomes four volunteers (18–30 years old) from across Europe, each contributing through a different focus area. All participants will work as one team and share tasks across community, educational, and cultural activities.
🎨 1️⃣ Communication & Digital Media Volunteer
- Focus: Visual communication, storytelling, and digital presence.
- Tasks:
- Create posters, videos, and digital materials for local events.
- Manage social media and help build the project’s online visibility.
- Collaborate on website updates and digital promotion.
- Skills: Interest or experience in graphic design, photography, video editing, and social media.
🧭 2️⃣ Erasmus+ Project Management & Training Volunteer
- Focus: Coordination and administration of European projects.
- Tasks:
- Support Erasmus+ and ESC project logistics, documentation, and reporting.
- Assist in planning non-formal education workshops.
- Communicate with international partners and help draft new proposals.
- Skills: Organisational and teamwork abilities, attention to detail, and motivation to learn EU project management.
🌱 3️⃣ Community & Culture Volunteer
- Focus: Cultural engagement, rural participation, and creative sustainability.
- Tasks:
- Organise and co-facilitate community events (music, theatre, sports, etc.).
- Promote local traditions and intercultural dialogue.
- Work with schools and youth centres to engage local youth.
- Skills: Creativity, teamwork, open-mindedness, and a passion for connecting people through art and culture.
💻 4️⃣ Local Development & Digital Innovation Volunteer
- Focus: Digital transformation, rural innovation, and community partnerships.
- Tasks:
- Support local associations and initiatives with communication tools.
- Help digitalise community processes and promote sustainability projects.
- Create visuals, websites, and online materials.
- Skills: Interest in digital tools, innovation, and social impact.
👩🏫 Participant Profile
We’re looking for creative and motivated young people (18–30) who want to:
✅ Live and work in a small Andalusian town 🏡
✅ Contribute to cultural and social life through creativity and teamwork
✅ Learn or improve Spanish language skills 🇪🇸
✅ Collaborate in a diverse and inclusive team
✅ Share their ideas and connect with the community
Good English and at least basic/intermediate Spanish are required.
