🌍 Volunteer in Spain for Rural Recovery – Join the DANA HH 1 ESC Project and Rebuild Communities with De Amicitia! 🇪🇸

💡 Project Overview

Be part of a meaningful ESC volunteering experience with De Amicitia in Sanet, Spain, and help rebuild communities affected by the Dana storm of 2024. 💪🌿

The DANA HH 1 project unites young Europeans to support rural regeneration, environmental recovery, and community solidarity in affected areas. Volunteers will collaborate with local associations, municipalities, schools, and NGOs to restore the region’s social and environmental balance.

Your role will include:
🌱 Assisting in agricultural activities and distributing fresh produce to local families
🏡 Supporting reconstruction efforts and community development projects
🎨 Organising educational activities with children and social visits to senior centers
🤝 Participating in cultural and social events to strengthen community bonds

Each day will bring a new opportunity to help, learn, and connect — while spending your free time discovering the natural beauty of Valencia’s countryside. 🇪🇸🌞

🏡 Accommodation, Food & Travel

The main location is Sanet, with possible activities in nearby towns around Valencia.
Volunteers will stay at Casa Jazmín, a fully equipped volunteer house with shared bedrooms (4–6 people per room). 🏠
The house has a communal kitchen — volunteers cook together with the support of team leaders.
Bedding is provided upon request (pillows, sheets, covers).
Two free days per week for rest or excursions.
Travel expenses are reimbursed according to ESC rules.

🧭 Training & Support

This project is a hands-on opportunity to:
🎓 Gain new personal, professional, and intercultural competences
🤝 Learn through non-formal education and teamwork
🪪 Receive a Youthpass certificate at the end of the project, recognizing all skills acquired

Volunteers will also take part in sessions about environmental awareness, teamwork, and community action. 🌍

👩‍🌾 Participant Profile

We’re looking for active, open-minded young people eager to contribute to rural development and social recovery.

Ideal candidates:
✅ Aged 18–30
✅ Have at least a basic level of English (Spanish knowledge is an asset)
✅ Motivated to work outdoors and in teams
✅ Creative, adaptable, and proactive
✅ A driving license is appreciated but not required
