Join YUPI and EKOA for a transformative 10-month experience starting on 15th September 2024. 🌍 EKOA is a vibrant homeschooling community committed to innovative, communal learning. 🌿 Tasks include caring for children (ages 1-6), designing educational activities, assisting with meals, sanitation, and sleep routines.

🏠 ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT 🏠

  • Location: Vila Nova de Famalicão, Portugal 🇵🇹
  • Accommodation: Single room in a local home, 2 minutes from EKOA 🏡
  • Meals: Vegetarian lunch at EKOA; dinner self-prepared or extra lunch from school 🥗
  • Amenities: Wi-Fi in both accommodation and EKOA 🌐
  • Support: Pocket money, travel, accommodation, food, and local transportation covered 💰
  • Eco-friendly Travel: Encouraged to use train, bus, etc. 🚆

🧑‍🏫 TRAINING 🧑‍🏫

  • On Arrival Training: Provided by the Portuguese National Agency 🎓
  • Language Course: Portuguese lessons via OLS platform and individual lessons during stay 🗣️
  • Engaging Learning: Encourage communication with children for immersive learning 📚

  • Qualities: Experience with kids, open-minded, motivated, proactive, responsible, communicative, creative, flexible 🌟
  • Skills: Not afraid of physical work, insects, getting dirty or wet. Interested in alternative education, teamwork, Pickler & Montessori methodology, vegetarianism 🌱
  • Requirements: Communicative English, experience with babies 👶
