The National Youth Service (SNJ) is a state agency under the Ministry of Education, Children and Youth in Luxembourg. Its mission is to support the personal and social development of young people through education, creativity, and participation.
🎭 About the Project
“The Animals of Noah’s Ark 2025” is a creative and inclusive ESC volunteering project where young people explore themes of diversity, equality, and anti-discrimination through theatre and storytelling.
Inspired by the symbolic story of Noah’s Ark — where every animal has the right to board — participants will reflect on human rights and inclusion, writing and performing their own children’s theatre play based on this idea. 🐾🌈
Under the guidance of experienced artists and youth workers, volunteers will:
🎬 Develop a theatre script promoting tolerance and respect
🎭 Rehearse and perform their original stage play
💡 Engage in workshops on diversity and creative expression
🤝 Collaborate in an international team of like-minded young people

🏠 Accommodation, Food & Transport
- 🏡 Shared accommodation at the SNJ chalet in Erpeldange
- 🥗 Volunteers cook breakfast and dinner together (costs covered)

📚 Training & Artistic Support
- 🎓 On-arrival training (first 3 days) with social workers and team coordinators
- 🎨 Creative workshops guided by professional artists and theatre mentors
- 💬 Group rehearsals and collective writing sessions
- 🎭 Final public performance to present the group’s creative work
👥 Participant Profile
We’re looking for creative, open-minded young people who are:
- Aged 18–30, from eligible ESC countries
- Interested in theatre, performance, or storytelling
- Motivated to work on themes of diversity and inclusion
- Comfortable living independently and collaboratively
- Basic knowledge of English required (no acting experience needed!)
