This European Solidarity Corps project offers an exciting volunteering experience at Jugendcafé Arena, a friendly, inclusive youth centre in Gratkorn, Austria, close to the vibrant city of Graz. 🇦🇹
The centre provides a safe and fun environment where young people can connect, express themselves, and develop life skills. Volunteers play a key role in supporting daily activities — from games and sports to workshops and creative events — while helping foster social inclusion and youth participation.

🎯 Your Main Tasks
- 🎮 Organize and support games, sports, and leisure activities (table football, soccer, PlayStation, etc.)
- 🧩 Help with homework support and educational workshops
- 🍳 Lead or join cooking activities and social events
- 🧠 Assist in creative and intercultural workshops
- 💬 Support social media content and youth communication channels
- 🎨 Develop your own mini-projects (arts, culture, inclusion, environmental awareness)
- 🌍 Collaborate with a professional youth work team and bring your ideas to life!
🏡 Accommodation, Food & Allowance
- 🏠 Accommodation in Graz, single room in a shared student dormitory
- 🚌 Public transportation ticket covered (Gratkorn–Graz route)
- 💶 Pocket money: 210 EUR/month
- 🍽️ Food allowance: 330 EUR/month
- ✈️ Travel and visa expenses fully covered under the ESC program
- ❤️ Supportive and inclusive environment with access to mentors and youth workers
🎓 Training & Learning Support
- 🧭 On-Arrival and Mid-Term Training organized by the Austrian National Agency
- 💬 German language course provided
- 🧑🏫 Guidance from professional mentors and participation in team meetings
- 🌟 Continuous learning through hands-on experience in youth work and social inclusion
You’ll also gain valuable insights into non-formal education, intercultural communication, and project developmentwhile building a strong European network of youth professionals.
