📢 About the Project
The "Community Empowerment for Village Development Uganda" (CEFOVID-UG) initiative supports disadvantaged slum residents — especially girls and women — by providing training in sewing, tailoring, entrepreneurship, and social services access. Your role will be essential in boosting the organization’s visibility, online engagement, and fundraising success.
🛠️ Volunteer Tasks
- Develop and implement effective communication strategies
- Manage social media: create content, engage followers, monitor trends
- Organize and support public events and media activities
- Produce visuals: video editing, photography, design
- Track PR campaign effectiveness and support online fundraising efforts
🏡 Accommodation & Logistics
- Shared apartment provided by host (private room) in Kampala
- Food and transport allowance from sending organization
- Volunteers prepare their own meals
- Use of local public transport (matatus and boda bodas)
📚 Training & Support
- Pre-departure training (online or in-person)
- On-arrival induction in Uganda
- Language learning encouragement (local dialects used in the community)
