Description

Partnership Building Activity on designing international non-formal learning programmes for media literacy, inclusion and intercultural dialogue

Our Partnership Building Activity (PBA) will strengthen youth workers' competences to design high-quality, inclusive international youth work and non-formal learning programmes. It focuses on the ETS competence area of Designing Programmes, helping participants turn young people's needs into clear learning objectives, practical educational activities and future Erasmus+ projects. Participants will explore needs analysis, SMART learning objectives, non-formal learning methods, programme flows, inclusion, evaluation and Youthpass. Particular attention will be given to designing accessible programmes for young people with fewer opportunities. Media literacy, fake news, stereotypes, prejudice, xenophobia and racism will serve as possible themes for practical programme design. Through Open Space Technology, participants will share their knowledge, methods and good practices. In international Programme Design Laboratories, they will develop educational activities, test selected methods and improve their programmes through peer feedback. Finally, participants will explore Erasmus+ KA152, KA153, KA154, KA210 and KA220 opportunities, develop at least 10 international project concepts and 10 partnership action plans, and establish partnerships for future cooperation.

The overall aim of the project is to strengthen the competences of 40 youth workers to design high-quality, inclusive and learner-centred international youth work and non-formal learning programmes, with particular emphasis on the Designing Programmes competence area of the ETS Competence Model for Youth Workers. Through experiential learning, peer-to-peer exchange, practical programme design laboratories and international cooperation, our PBA aims to improve participants' ability to transform the identified needs of young people, especially those with fewer opportunities, into coherent educational programmes with clear learning objectives, appropriate non-formal learning methodologies, meaningful reflection processes and measurable learning outcomes. The PBA will provide opportunities for participants to design, test and improve educational activities addressing contemporary challenges affecting young people, including media literacy, disinformation, stereotypes, prejudice, xenophobia and racism. Particular attention will be given to integrating inclusion, intercultural learning, human rights education, democratic participation and Youthpass into the design of international learning experiences. At the organisational level, our PBA aims to strengthen international cooperation by connecting youth workers and organisations with complementary expertise, encouraging the exchange of good practices and supporting the development of sustainable partnerships. By the end of the activity, participants will have collaboratively developed and peer-reviewed educational programme concepts and initiated concrete Erasmus+ project ideas under KA152 Youth Exchanges, KA153 Training courses, KA154 Youth Participation Activities, KA210 Small-scale Partnerships and KA220 Cooperation Partnerships.

By the end of the project, participants will:

Apply the ETS competence area of Designing Programmes to develop high-quality, inclusive and learner-centred international non-formal learning programmes.

Identify young people's learning needs, particularly those with fewer opportunities, and translate them into SMART learning objectives and appropriate educational activities.

Design coherent non-formal learning programmes by connecting learning objectives, experiential learning methods, programme flows, reflection, evaluation and Youthpass.

Integrate inclusion and intercultural learning into programme design by adapting educational activities to diverse target groups and addressing barriers to participation.

Share their expertise and good practices through Open Space Technology, exchanging practical tools, methodologies and experiences with international youth workers.

Develop and improve educational activities addressing media literacy, fake news, stereotypes, prejudice, xenophobia and racism through International Programme Design Laboratories, peer exchange and feedback.

Explore local youth work and cultural education practices through field visits to D2 Youth Centre, Szeged Táncegyüttes, Deák Ferenc High School and Tarjáni Bilingual Primary School identifying methods and approaches that can inspire their international programmes.

Identify suitable Erasmus+ opportunities under KA152, KA153, KA154, KA210 and KA220 and apply their knowledge when developing international project ideas.

Develop at least 10 international Erasmus+ project concepts based on shared needs, educational objectives, target groups and organisational interests.

Establish at least 10 partnership action plans with concrete responsibilities, follow-up activities and timelines for future international cooperation within six months after the PBA.

The objectives of the Partnership Building Activity are:

To strengthen the competences of 40 youth workers in designing high-quality, inclusive international non-formal learning programmes, based on the ETS competence area of Designing Programmes.

To improve participants' skills in identifying young people's needs, particularly those with fewer opportunities, and translating them into SMART learning objectives, appropriate methodologies and coherent programme flows.

To support youth workers in integrating media literacy, critical thinking, inclusion, intercultural dialogue and anti-discrimination into non-formal learning activities addressing the needs of their target groups.

To encourage the exchange of educational methods, expertise and good practices through Open Space Technology, peer learning and international cooperation.

To develop participants' practical programme design competences through International Programme Design Laboratories, sharing educational activities, peer feedback and collaborative improvement.

To explore local approaches to youth work, formal education, cultural learning and community participation through field visits to D2 Youth Centre, Szeged Táncegyüttes, Deák Ferenc High School and Tarjáni Bilingual Primary School.

To support participants in developing at least 10 international Erasmus+ project concepts under KA152, KA153, KA154, KA210 and KA220, based on shared educational needs and organisational priorities.

To establish at least 10 concrete international partnership action plans, including organisational responsibilities, follow-up activities and timelines for future cooperation within six months after the PBA.

Our PBA will use non-formal education, experiential learning, peer-to-peer learning and collaborative programme design, focusing on the ETS competence area of Designing Programmes. The learning process will combine practical exercises, reflection, knowledge sharing and international partnership building. We will start with group-building, intercultural learning and an NGO & Good Practice Fair, where participants will present their organisations, exchange experiences and identify common educational needs. Through needs analysis, case studies and interactive workshops, they will practise developing SMART learning objectives, selecting appropriate non-formal learning methods and designing inclusive programme flows. Open Space Technology will allow participants to propose and facilitate their own sessions, sharing expertise, educational methods and good practices related to media literacy, inclusion, intercultural learning and other youth work topics of their choice. In International Programme Design Laboratories, participants will work in international groups to design educational activities and programme flows based on their interests and target groups' needs. Field visits to D2 Youth Centre, Szeged Táncegyüttes, Deák Ferenc High School and Tarjáni Bilingual Primary School will provide practical examples of local youth work, formal education, cultural learning and community participation. Finally, Erasmus+ Project Design Laboratories, project idea marketplaces and partnership-building activities will support participants in developing at least 10 international project concepts under KA152, KA153, KA154, KA210 and KA220, together with 10 concrete partnership action plans. Daily reflection groups, learning diaries, Youthpass and final evaluation will help participants assess their competence development, recognise learning outcomes and plan future international cooperation.
