🇵🇹 ESC Volunteering in Portugal 🏄 Surf School Health and Ocean Sustainability Education 🌊

Description

Activity to promote health trough surf and sustainability education. Volunteers will be involved in supporting the surf and bodyboard school assisting the monitors carrying out the different daily activities with young people and with special needs in surf classes and training sport, summer camps, surf school, national and international events and in many other activities with multilinguism and multicultural approaches. Support the athletes and visitants in High Performance Center of Surf reception, check lists distribution of sports equipment, support in facilities, the way to the beach and water practice support, housekeeping and cleaning spaces, and in general in support of planning and accompaniment of all activities including sustainable plan and provide the participation themselves of promoting healthy lifestyle and physical activity outdoor. We promote the acquisition of skills for personal, educational, social, civic, cultural, sports, environmental and inclusion.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Pocket money - 6€/day - and allowance - 6€/day - are payed monthly.

Accommodation in individual or shared room and free access to all facilities (shared spaces, kitchen, WCs and balcony) in an apartment in the city or at the High Performance Center of Surf

During events, organization can provide food.

Travel from residence country and transports from and to the activity expenses are reimbursed.

Transports from and to the High Performance Center of Surf, can be provided by car ride with organization workers or can be done by bus, walking or riding a bicycle.

Training during the activity

Welcome and training on arrival in the organization before the start the activity.

Training with organization coaches.

Daily workers acompaignment, other participations in trainings, projects and experiences with other institutions.

On arrival and midterm training leading by Portugal National Agency.

Mentorship provided.

Portuguese course and other trainings needed provided by the organization.
