Description

Tallinn Endla Kindergarten has 74 years of experience and is located in the centre of Tallinn on Endla Street.

Today, our kindergarten has 5 groups with 85 children and 12 teachers, supported by other specialists and staff. We value a child-centered approach, learning through play, discovery, creativity, movement and cooperation.

An important part of our identity is Eco-Schools program (Green School), with a strong focus on sustainability, caring for nature and using resources responsibly.

We believe in learning by doing and involve children in activities such as creating, building, growing, exploring, experimenting and finding solutions together.

Our kindergarten also values Montessori principles, and one of our five groups follows the Montessori methodology. We encourage children's independence, curiosity and respect for people and the environment.

Volunteering dates are late 2026 until June 2027.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

Accommodation is either in a university dormitory private room or a shared apartment with other volunteers.

Transportation and local transport is covered by the coordinating organization. The volunteer will receive monthly food and pocket money.

Training during the activity

All necessary training will be conducted by other staff members in the Kindergarten.

ESC Estonian National Agency will organize on-arrival and mid-term meetings for the volunteer.

Participant profile

We welcome international volunteers as members of our kindergarten community, giving children and staff an opportunity to discover new cultures, languages and perspectives. We wish to meet volunteers who are fun, committed, respectful, and with good manners. Volunteers that are interested in the child development process.

Basic English is required.
