🇵🇱 ESC Volunteering in Poland 🎃 Halloween Community Event in a Youth Centre Garden 🎨

Description

The project will involve working at the Youth Center run by Akwedukt Association. The volunteers will support the preparation of a Halloween-themed community event in the community garden.

Together with local young people, the volunteers will create Halloween decorations, prepare activities and attractions, and help transform the community garden into a creative and welcoming space for the event: https://tiny.pl/9kq9-cv3z

The project will focus on teamwork, creativity, youth involvement and community engagement. It will also give international volunteers an opportunity to work closely with local young people, exchange ideas, share their cultures and actively contribute to the local community.

Accommodation, food and transport arrangements

We are renting 2 flats for our volunteers in Kwidzyn. Every house consists of 3-4 rooms shared by 2-3 volunteers. The kitchen and bathroom are always shared.

Every flat has an internet connection.

All the flats are equipped with:

- Bed covers (x1/room), blanket and pillow.

- Cleaning stuff (broom, mop, dustpan, etc.)

- Iron (x1/flat).

- Heating in every flat/room

- Kitchen pots, plates, silverware, and cooking tools (simple but enough for daily life).

- Oven and cooker,

- Refrigerator with freezer.

You have to care about your private towels and hygienic stuff like soap, shampoo, hairdryer etc.

Training during the activity

Volunteers are provided with an induction training, workplace health and safety training, and Polish language lessons once a week.

Participant profile

We are looking for enthusiastic and creative people who enjoy working with young people and are interested in community activities. Artistic and manual skills will be a strong advantage, especially for creating decorations and preparing Halloween-themed attractions.

We especially welcome people who are passionate about Halloween, enjoy creative teamwork, and are open to sharing their ideas and energy with local youth.
