Description
Homecoming invites us to slow down, soften into our bodies and return to our centre. An embodied journey through movement, nature and authentic connection โ remembering what it feels like to belong within ourselves, between us and with the Earth.
Homecoming Becoming the Place We Belong
Homecoming is an international training course exploring embodied belonging โ within ourselves, in relationship with others, and as part of the living world. It invites participants to slow down, return to their centre, and reconnect with the body as a place of grounding, safety and aliveness.
Through embodiment, movement, authentic relating, silence and nature connection, participants explore what it means to feel at home in themselves and how to create spaces where others can experience acceptance and belonging. The journey nurtures self-awareness, emotional regulation, authentic connection and a deeper relationship with the Earth โ remembering our way back to ourselves, each other and the world we belong to.
A key focus of the training is belonging as an embodied experience. Participants explore what safety, acceptance and connection actually feel like in the body, and how we can return to our centre while staying open to relationship. Through nurturing practices, bodywork and shared rituals, they experience how warmth, presence and trust can allow us to become home to ourselves and to each other.
The training also explores the body in relationship with the group and with nature, creating space for silence, mystery and deeper listening. Participants practice meeting themselves with greater self-love and acceptance, while developing the capacity to offer grounded, heartfelt presence and guidance to others.
These experiences are translated into practical approaches for youth work, supporting participants in creating spaces where young people can feel seen, welcomed and free to be themselves. Homecoming invites youth workers to carry this sense of belonging back into their communities.
In this project you will: Come back to your centre and feel more grounded, present and at home in your body Explore belonging, emotions, needs and longings with greater awareness Practice self-love, nurturing and embodied self-regulation Explore movement, bodywork and somatic practices for aliveness, expression and connection Experience silence, ritual, creativity and mystery as pathways to deeper presence Reconnect with nature and your belonging to the Earth Learn to become home to yourself and nurture belonging for others Gain embodied and relational practices for youth work, community and everyday life
