About TheViPgroup
TheViPgroup is a Poland-based tech company driving digital transformation through AI, CleanTech and SaaS solutions.
The role
This is a role for a highly analytical, research-oriented Data Science & NLP Intern who will extract high-value insights from unstructured text data. It sits at the critical intersection of experimental data science and traditional NLP: you'll handle data preparation, pattern analysis and building custom machine-learning pipelines that drive strategic business decisions.
Core responsibilities
π§Ή Data preprocessing & cleaning: architect robust pipelines to clean, tokenize, normalise and label unstructured text datasets for model training.
π§ NLP model development: implement and evaluate core NLP models for high-stakes tasks such as Named Entity Recognition (NER), sentiment analysis and text classification.
π Exploratory data analysis (EDA): uncover hidden patterns and trends in textual data to support strategic business decisions.
π Literature research: investigate academic literature and state-of-the-art NLP techniques to propose creative, scalable solutions.
π§ͺ Collaborative experimentation: assist in running A/B tests to validate model accuracy and performance against real-world data.
Technical stack you'll need
π Strong proficiency in Python and data libraries (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn).
π¬ Familiarity with NLP frameworks (NLTK, spaCy, or BERT-based Transformers).
π A solid understanding of statistical analysis, data mining and evaluation metrics (F1-score, Precision, Recall).
Two ways to join (eligibility)
π International track: you're eligible to apply for and receive an Erasmus+ traineeship grant from your university.
π΅π± Domestic track: you're a student or recent graduate of a Polish university applying for a 3-month intensive practical placement (praktyki studenckie / praktyki absolwenckie).
TheViPgroup can host international candidates and provides the necessary documentation (a signed Learning Agreement and invitation letter).
What you'll get
π Elite mentorship: direct, hands-on guidance from the Management Board and senior analytical leads.
π οΈ Professional training: access to internal courses and frameworks to build your technical stack fast.
π An "Intern of the Month" programme showcasing your talent to the company's global network.
The details
This is an unpaid Erasmus+ traineeship (during studies), full-time at 40 hours per week, lasting 3 months, expected start 1 October 2026, based in Krakow. Bachelor or Master level; working language English.
