Youth Works Hub features hands-on AI engineering internships like this because they let you build serious, portfolio-grade experience with cutting-edge Generative AI, not just watch from the sidelines.
About TheViPgroup
TheViPgroup is a Poland-based tech company driving digital transformation through AI, CleanTech and SaaS solutions. This role sits at the frontier of its AI work.
The role
This is a forward-thinking, hands-on AI/ML Engineering internship focused on pushing the boundaries of Generative AI. You won't just be making API calls β you'll architect complex, stateful, multi-agent workflows, with a heavy focus on Small Language Models (SLMs), LLMs and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), building and optimising systems that solve real enterprise challenges.
Core responsibilities
- Agentic workflow engineering: architect and deploy stateful, multi-actor AI applications using LangGraph, moving the company's AI capabilities from reactive to autonomous.
- Advanced RAG pipelines: build and optimise sophisticated RAG pipelines that connect LLMs with private, dynamic enterprise knowledge bases.
- Model customization: fine-tune open-source models (e.g. Llama, Mistral, Phi) using LoRA and QLoRA for domain-specific tasks.
- Prompt engineering & output optimization: design, test and refine complex system prompts to maximise reliability, reasoning and output quality.
- Evaluation & integration: establish strict evaluation frameworks for accuracy and latency, and help deploy model endpoints into internal tools.
Technical stack you'll need
- A solid foundation in Python and deep-learning frameworks (PyTorch or TensorFlow).
- Strong, practical experience with LangGraph, LangChain and the Hugging Face ecosystem.
- A deep understanding of transformer architectures, embeddings and vector databases (e.g. Pinecone, Chroma, Milvus).
Two ways to join (eligibility)
- International track: you're eligible to apply for and receive an Erasmus+ traineeship grant from your university.
- Domestic track: you're a student or recent graduate of a Polish university applying for a 3-month intensive practical placement (praktyki studenckie / praktyki absolwenckie).
TheViPgroup can host international candidates and will provide the necessary documentation (a signed Learning Agreement and invitation letter).
What you'll get
- Elite mentorship: direct, hands-on guidance from the Management Board and senior technical architects.
- Professional training: access to internal frameworks to build your technical stack fast.
- An "Intern of the Month" programme with monthly awards showcasing your talent to the company's global network.
The details
Unpaid Erasmus+ traineeship (during studies), full-time at 40 hours per week, lasting 3 months, expected start 1 October 2026, based in Krakow. Bachelor or Master level; working language English.
FAQ
- Is this a real engineering role or just prompt-writing? Real engineering β you'll architect multi-agent workflows, build RAG pipelines and fine-tune models, not just call APIs.
- Do I have to be an Erasmus+ student? Not necessarily β there's an international Erasmus+ track and a domestic Polish-university track.
- What must I already know? Python plus PyTorch or TensorFlow, and hands-on LangGraph/LangChain and Hugging Face experience.
- How do I apply? Through the company's official intake form (link below).
Deadline
No fixed deadline β apply as soon as possible; the expected start date is 1 October 2026.
