Description
The Noël-Paindavoine Association works to help young people with housing. The volunteer will help the educational team. It is expected that he/she can take part and initiate activities from his/her interests and country of origin in order to raise European awareness among the youngsters in the Home. The volunteer will take part in the leisure times in the evenings and in workshops (cooking workshops, bike reparation, waste sort workshop, sports...). He can also propose activities following his skills and the interests of the young people living in the organization. Accommodation, food and transport arrangements
The volunteer will live in his own flat with a kitchen and bathroom. The flat belongs to the organisation but the volunteer will work with young people living in other flats. The volunteer will receive money for food, transport and pocket money. The transport from home country to France is also reimbursed by the program.
Training during the activity
During the mission of the volunteer there will be 2 training Formations. The first one is called the 'Welcome Formation' which is held for 5 days in one city of France (not decided yet). And the second which is called 'The midterm formation' which is 4 days in another city in the middle of the volunteering period.
Participant profile
You are outgoing and dynamic ? You have good communication skills and you are able to take initiatives ? Then you can be the ideal volunteer ! The main criterion is to be interested in working with youngsters facing difficult social situations and showing empathy. You should be interested in leading activities with youngsters (sport, environment awareness, culture, health, food, …). Having basic French language knowledge is necessary.
